Rufus Kain, born and raised in Amsterdam, is cultural anthropologist and musician. He became interested in music at a young age. Besides rap and playing the gitar, he organised musical get togethers and festivals and hosted a radioshow on amsterdam FM. He discovered that most musicians are not aware of the infrastructure of the music industry. In his search for a platform to express his critical voice, he found De Correspondent. Whilst a lot of music journalism is about small daily issues, Kain writes about the political and economical side of the music industry.

Rufus Kain, geboren en getogen in Amsterdam, is cultureel antropoloog en muzikant. Hij was al vroeg muzikaal bezig. Naast rappen en gitaar spelen, organiseerde hij muziekavonden en festivals en presenteerde hij radioshows, onder andere op Amsterdam FM. Hij ontdekte dat muzikanten vaak niet op de hoogte zijn van de infrastructuur binnen de muziekindustrie.
