Three rounds with 18 radical media innovators to meet and exchange ideas in an intimate setting

In The Meet the Maker format you can choose from 18 radical media innovators, join them at their tables and exchange ideas. There are six themes that correspond with the six aspects of storytelling. Each theme has three makers to choose from. The numbers of the makers are linked to their table numbers.

Non fiction stories

How can non-fiction formats be portrayed and told in a different way? What consequences do these platforms have for the maker? These are a few of the questions that the speakers will focus on.

Immersive stories

How do you lure children into a story with mixed reality formats like VR and AR? How can you convey a story without a real storyline? These are a few of the questions that the speakers will focus on.

Stories in data

How can personal data be used (or abused) for the creation of a story? The makers dive into data journalism and visualisation and explore the narrative potential of privacy and intimacy. These are a few topics that the speakers will focus on.

Spreading stories

How do you reach an audience that doesn’t listen to radio or watches tv? How do broadcasters and makers survive in the present media landscape? These are a few of the questions that the speakers will focus on.

Mobile stories

How can we tell stories on different locations using mobile devices like smartphones? Which formats do you use and how can you integrate social media?These are a few of the questions that the speakers will focus on.

Sensing stories

How can you create a story that appeals to multiple senses? Which media and platforms can we use and how can they complement each other?  These are a few of the questions that the speakers will focus on.
