"The Heartbeat Dress, part of the Intimacy 2.0 project, is made of high-tech fabrics that become transparent when they are exposed to a fast heartbeat and high body temperature.

The renowned Dutch designer Daan Roosegaarde made the dress from leather and smart opaque e-foils. The garment also uses wireless technology, electronics, LED lights, copper and other media. For Roosegaarde, Intimacy 2.0 is a fashion project that explores the relationship between intimacy and technology: ‘Technology is used in this dress not only in a functional way but also as a tool to directly approach both intimacy and privacy at a personal level; issues that are becoming increasingly important in our modern technological society.’
