ANAGRAM (documentary makers Amy Rose and May Abdalla): makers behind Door into the Dark, a truly immersive documentary speaking to all senses by combining a radio play, GPS-technology and immersive theatre.

Anagram (EN)

The core of Anagram is Amy Rose and May Abdalla – two ex-documentary filmmakers who left their day jobs to strike up a partnership. In their work, Rose and Abdalla replace the visual with the sensual and integrate interactive technology within vivid documentary storytelling. At STRP Biennial this year their installation Door into the Dark has its European mainland premiere. It’s a compelling documentary experience about what it means to be lost in an era of infinite information. It is a combination of a radio play, GPS-technology and immersive theatre. Digital technology rarely felt so natural. At Tribeca Film Festival, 2015 it won the Storyscapes award for best interactive work. Visitors of the STRP Biennial can experience the installation of Anagram in cooperation with MU and during Conference for the Curious you can meet the makers.

Anagram (NL)
